What's Going on After School in February
By Julie Forkner
January 23, 2008
We continue to provide health, literacy, technology, physical activities, as well as enrichment during the after school program. The grant's purpose is to provide a healthy snack, 30 minutes of homework, 30 minutes of physical activity, and 30 minutes of activity time. This is required from the grant. Some students have more than 30 minutes of homework, so parents, please make sure they finish it at home and also check what has been done at school. This is the best way for you to keep up with your child's educational needs.
During February we will provide the following activities:
Monday: K-5 Health 6-12 Webcats
Tuesday: K-2 Literacy 3-5 Choice between Newspaper Writing or Book Club 6-12 Bead Construction
Wednesday: K-5 Health 6-12 Board Games
Thursday: K-2 Literacy 3-5 Choice between Vacation Planning or Writers Club 6-12 Fitness
