On Saturday, April 12, Mrs. Forkner and Mrs. Dodson, along with several students and parents, ventured out in the cold weather and headed to Carver National Park in Diamond, Missouri. The senior class used cardboard, aluminum foil, and duct tape to build these parabolic reflectors. The object was to get the highest light reading on the light meter. The reflectors were based on the properties of parabolas. The seniors put their new knowledge of parabolas to use while trying to build the better reflector. . . . read more
