Bronaugh FCCLA members attend State Conference

by Jackie Linn

April 17, 2008

Bronaugh FCCLA had four members attending the State Leadership Conference in Columbia, MO on March 30-April 1. Those attending were Tessa Ussery, Nick Judd, Katherine Kerbs, and Cameron Bott along with advisor Jackie Linn. Members attended several workshops, including ones on Parliamentary Procedure, presenting effective speeches, and the negative effects of judging people before you get to know them. Tessa and Katherine were our voting delegates. They attended the ‘Meet the Candidates’ workshop and participated in the election of State Officers. Members also heard keynote speaker Patrick George and Jason Hewlett, the Entertainer. The chapter was recognized for participating in national programs including Families First and RACE into Reading.  The trip was a lot of fun and very informative for all who attended.
