Hi - My name is Sherry Brown. I am a Parent Educator with Parents as Teachers. I have been a Parent Educator for 13 years. I absolutely love my job. The best part is getting to know the families and the children. I have been married to Lewis for 24 years. We have two wonderful children Derek and Alexis. Derek is 27 and married to a special women - Rauni. They are the proud parents of our granddaughter Lorelei, who is 4 and our grandson Carter who is 1 . Alexis is 18 and such a joy in our life. When I am not working at school doing home visits, planning parenting activities for Practical Parenting Partnerships or working in the classroom or After school program - I am busy with church, 4-H and being the Mayor of Bronaugh or my favorite past time of spending time with my family.
I do believe that parents are their children's first and best teacher and it is such a joy to see the children thrive. I love the Parents as Teachers program and am glad that it gives the parents resources and empowers them to encourage their children so that they can reach their full potential.
