My name is Julie Forkner. This is my 26th year of teaching. I have been at Bronaugh for 17 years. I teach Kindergarten, I am the After School Director, and I am the Character Ed. Coordinator. I am married to Mike and have 2 children. Mandy, my daughter, is the Second Grade teacher at Bronaugh and my son Austin will be in the 7th grade. We have 4 dogs, Jo, Racer, Duke and Gus, and several cats.
I love horses and barrel racing. I spend my weekends traveling all over the country watching my son race motocross. This past summer he won Loretta Lynn's Amateur National as the youngest rider to win in the 12-14 year old class. He rides for Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green and Fox and is an awesome racer and my daughter is an awesome teacher!! I have been blessed with wonderful kids. I love them very much.
My main objective is teaching my Kindergarten students to read, write, and add and subtract. I also want to encourage teamwork, respect, responsibility, honesty, and other character skills.
