My name is Julie Forkner. This is my 25th year of teaching. I have been at Bronaugh for 16 years. I teach Kindergarten, I am the After School Director, and I am the Character Ed. Coordinator. I am married to Mike and have 2 children. Mandy, my daughter, is the PreSchool teacher at Bronaugh and my son Austin will be in the 6th grade. We have 4 dogs, Jo, Racer, Duke and Moto, and several cats.
I love horses and barrel racing. I spend my weekends traveling all over the country watching my son race motocross. This past summer he was selected to represent “Team USA” in France where we won the gold medal in both the 65 cc and 85 cc classes. He is a two time world champion. He is an awesome motocross racer and my daughter is an awesome preschool teacher!! I have been blessed with wonderful kids. I love them very much.
My main objective is teaching my Kindergarten students to read, write, and add and subtract. I also want to encourage teamwork, respect, responsibility, honesty, and other character skills.
