On Saturday, October 3rd 12 families from the 21st CCLA - after school program- loaded a school bus and headed to Kansas City on a Science adventure. We stopped in Harrisonville for breakfast then went on to Union Station - Science City for a fun time. Students and families were able to make music from various instruments. Several of the students were brave enough to ride a bicycle across a tight rope. There was a water table that you could create a course and have a rubber duck race. The dinosaur dig was popular with the younger kids. Adults enjoyed the medical lab where we could test our reaction time and check our body weight and height. There was a nature area with lots of animals we could pet. some played a round of miniature golf. The playground was also a fun spot - bubbles came out of the fire hydrant! Older students worked on their balance and showed their strength .
There was something fun to do for all in attendance - ages 2 through adult.
