KINDERGARTEN NEWS
We are sounding out words and reading books . We have learned all short vowel sounds and some long vowels. We have learned about blends like ch, sh, and th. Please continue practicing sight words. We now know over 50 sight words. We will continue to practice reading every day!
We will practice counting and writing numbers from 1-100 and adding and subtracting. We will also be learning about time by the hour and 1/2 hour and money.
We will practice handwriting everyday. Neat handwriting is a must!
Your are your child's # 1 teacher! Our school year is half over and there is still so much to learn.
Make sure to always send a coat with your child, the weather can change and rain can come in a days time. It is cold and your child needs a coat.
I am looking forward to a new year and the 2nd half of Kindergarten!
