NEW YEAR! NEW CLASSES! NEW EXPECTATIONS!

It’s Your Business

Welcome back to school! This year will be a year of changes. You are in a place that you've never been before, one year older and hopefully, one year wiser.

The Business room has a new floor and it looks great!  Please thank the janitors when you see them for all of their hard work getting the school cleaned up and ship shape!

I hope that you had a great summer and are ready to put on your thinking caps and go to work!  Your future depends on you!!

My expectations for the year are to incorporate many more Web 2.0 components in as many classes and in as many ways as possible.  We will learn new skills together and learn to collaborate on projects through the use of the Internet.  You will be treated with respect and will be expected to treat myself and others with respect.  Class work and homework will be expected to be turned in, in a timely manner.  I will do my best to post assignments to Edmodo after the class period in which it is assigned. (Edmodo is an online educational website that has a parent component.  This year will be a learning experience for all of us; please be patient with me as I try to incorporate this technology into the curriculum.)  I will be available to help you with any problems if you will just ask.  Please check the Edmodo web site first if you have any questions about your assignment.

It is very important that you return your signed Computer Use Agreement on or before the first day of school.  I would like to have an e-mail address for all of your parents so I can contact them with information regarding class.  I look forward to a great year as we all learn together!  TOGETHER, WE CAN!!

My schedule for the year is as follows:  1st hour – 7th/8th Media Literacy, 2nd hour – Prep, 3rd hour – Web Design, 4th hour – Computer Applications, 5th hour – Spanish 1 & 2, 6th hour – 7th/8th Keyboarding, 7th hour – Personal Finance and 8th hour – Desktop Publishing.  Please stop by and see me anytime you have a question.  I am looking forward to helping you reach your maximum potential this year.

The yearbooks are in and will be distributed at a later date to be determined by Mr. McArthur. If you have not purchased one, there are very few extras.  They will be sold for $40.00.

FBLA this year has one returning member. We need more of you to become involved and hone your business skills for the future. It is a very good way to work on your leadership skills and meet new people from other schools. In the Spring we have contests to allow you to showcase the skills that you have learned and to find out that you can compete against larger schools. We ARE Bronaugh! Let’s go Wildcats!
