School Spelling Bee

Katie is the Spelling Bee Champ!

January 26, 2012

On January 26, 2012 the Bronaugh Schools had a spelling bee for the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders.  Each class had chosen three winners by conducting a classroom bee earlier in the month.  Each classroom winner participated in the event.  Those participating were 4th graders: Annabelle Morris, Kaleigh Byram, and Aletea Turner; 5th graders: Kyle Hendrix, Audra McFarland, and Katie Norman; 6th graders: Abby Robertson, Beau Hendershot, and Jonathan Jones.

Katie Norman was the school winner.  She outlasted the others and won 2 consecutive bees to be named the Spelling Bee Champion.  Her winning words were "ignition" and "pincushion."  Aletea Turner won the duty of alternate.
