Bronaugh FFA

December 07, 2006

The Bronaugh FFA Chapter was founded in 1952 with many of the original members still living in the Bronaugh area. The Bronaugh FFA Chapter has produced many successful graduates ranging from Universtity professors to farmers.

In the last ten years an average enrollment of 40 members per year have been in the Bronaugh FFA Chapter. The Chapter has maintained superior chapter status and 100% enrollment of its students. Members of the chapter have received over 30 state degrees, 15 American Degrees, and 15 Area Proficiency Awards. Along with these awards we have had 3 State Winning Proficiency Award recipients, Trish Willers, Ryan Yokley, and Sarah Yokley. In 2001 Ryan Yokley received Star Agribusiness men in Area 7, and in 2006 Joshua Shaw received Star Area in Placement. The Bronaugh FFA Chapter has had several District and State qualifying CDE (Contest) Teams over the past ten years.

Starting in the year of 1999 the chapter, with the help of the Comstock Family, we started an annual Livestock judging contest, which attracts 4-H and FFA members from across Missouri and neighboring states. The chapter also cares for an Adopt a Highway Project, hosts an Annual Community Appreciation Breakfast, and has put together several other community service projects over the years. The Bronaugh FFA Chapter annually takes part in the National FFA week activities to increase the knowledge of Agriculture to the students of Bronaugh School.

The Bronaugh FFA celebrated 50 years of success in 2002, and is looking forward to another successful 50 years.
