The 4th Graders have been very busy for the past month.  They have made Missouri Collages in the shape of our state, they have made a class Civil War Freedom Quilt, they have learned how to do long division in Math, and they have written and illustrated their Young Author Books.  Busy, busy!!  And I must say that they did an excellent job on all of the projects.  Our new project that they are just starting is an ABC Missouri History Powerpoint slide presentation.  They will make a slide of something important from Missouri starting with each letter of the alphabet.  This project will be completed at school on our classroom computers and each student will present theirs to the rest of the class when it’s finished.  I want to thank you so much for helping your child with their school projects. Your support makes our school a success.

On February 19th we had a guest speaker visit our classroom.  Rocky Steiger from the Vernon Co. Soil and Water Conservation Dept.  talked to the class about water conservation, what it means, and how we can all be good water conservationists.  She got us excited about the poster contest we will be entering and went over the contest rules and suggested ideas.  The theme of this year’s poster contest is “Water Is Life.”

The school year is going by so fast.  I can’t believe the end of the 3rd quarter is here.  I have truly enjoyed spending the school year with your child. Thank you for all you’ve done to make this year a success.
