April is here! Many Kindergartners are reading very fluently and with ease! They really like reading. It's been amazing to watch them grow from August preschool until April of Kindergarten!
We learning how to tell time by the hour and 1/2 hour. The students are doing great!! During the middle of April we will be learning about money. Pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. You can start helping them recognize the coins and how much they are worth.
We will continue practicing handwriting and spelling short vowel words. They are doing a great job spelling and writing. Please practice reading skills and spelling words at home. Also work on recognition of sight words like look, see, like, the, we, etc. They are listed in the Parent Handbook.
April 1 is our Easter Party. It will begin at 2:15. I selected Chevy to bring cupcakes and Jonathan to bring drinks. Everyone else please bring 14 plastic filled eggs with each child's name on it. This ensures every child gets the same amount of eggs. Here is a list of the childrens names:
Samuel, Josie, Nicole,Isaac, Kayley, Trinity, Gavin, Nicholas, Alexis, Aricka, Alicia, Justin, and don't forget Chevy and Jonathan.
You might make a few extras for younger siblings.
